Accountant

Accountant - Indonesia

Reporting to the Management Accountant for APAC, you will be responsible for the sales and purchase ledgers of our Indonesia business, whilst providing accounting support through month end (and other ad-hoc tasks as needed). Our Indonesia business operations form part of our larger global Group and as such working to ensure all financial transactions, analysis and reporting is performed within deadlines & to the standards required will lead to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities


 Accounts Receivable Function

  • Raising sales invoices; emailing or uploading to client e-invoicing platforms
  • Booking & allocating daily cash receipts
  • Credit Control & Aged Debt Report maintenance, ensuring accuracy
  • Answering client accounts queries, resolving with local team account managers

Accounts Payable Function

  • Booking office overheads, intercompany invoices & staff expenses
  • Booking cost invoices (not uploaded via electronic invoices platform, Tungsten)
  • Preparing weekly supplier & staff expense payment runs (multiple currencies) to remittance stage
  • Raising ad hoc & intercompany payments in the bank
  • Raising monthly rebate invoices to suppliers
  • Purchase ledger maintenance & supplier account queries

Management Accounts

  • Reviewing & updating prepayments & accrual entries
  • Raising ad hoc journal entries, supporting ANZ Management Accountant
  • Assist with month end close & reporting requirements to fixed deadlines
  • Cash flow reporting and management, including bank reconciliations

Ad Hoc

  • Monthly intercompany reconciliations with Group entities
  • Working with internal finance & account management teams to resolve queries & provide necessary information
  • Assist in budgeting and quarterly forecasting process

Knowledge and Skills


  • Qualified (or Part-Qualified) Accountant
  • SAP Business One experience is a plus
  • Accounting experience is required, either in a business or professional services setting. You will understand balance sheet accounting & reconciliations and have a classic accounting education
  • Communication & Presence. You will be required to support the ANZ finance function from our Philippines office whilst interacting with finance & non-finance stakeholders across Asia Pacific via Teams & email. Hence being able to confidently articulate your comments and answers will be vital. Basic English communication is needed
