Our first annual sustainability report, detailing our sustainability strategy, achievements, and alignment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (17 goals to tackle poverty, inequality, and climate change by 2030) is now available.
The ‘Innovation with Purpose’ report can be viewed by clicking the below link, and illustrates how we have helped our clients make more sustainable choices by redesigning products.
We are committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of our sustainability strategy, “Innovation with Purpose.” Our contribution through fostering sustainable practices in marketing execution allow us to focus our contribution on three of the goals.
By 2020, we will aim to save 38,000 trees.
By setting this commitment for the fiscal year 2020, we will contribute to SDG target 15.2 “By 2020, promote the implementation of sustainable management of all types of forests, halt deforestation, restore degraded forests and substantially increase afforestation and reforestation globally.”
Our partnerships with clients help them make ecologically-sound paper choices that have the power to reduce deforestation. Our Sustainable Materials Policy, supported by our alliance with the non-for-profit forest conservation organisation Canopy, is the implementation of our commitment to reduce the impact on forests and ultimately the ramifications to its habitats.

HH Global Sustainable Materials Policy
By the end of FY20, we will sustainably and efficiently use natural resources to save 120 million litres of water, 11,000 tons of CO2 and 10,000 MWh of energy.
By setting this commitment, we contribute to SDG target 12.2 “By 2030, achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources.”
We are committed to responsible consumption and production by reducing our material footprint. Our global sustainability targets recognise the carbon, energy emissions, and water consumption associated with the manufacture of paper. Our 2020 fiscal year targets also set out to save 120 million litres of water - enough to fill 48 Olympic-size swimming pools, 11,000 tons of CO2 - equivalent to the removal of 2,335 average cars from the road and 10,000 MWh of energy - equivalent to the energy to power 850 average homes for a year. By promoting sustainable paper choices, we can assess the impact of marketing programs on natural resources and seek to minimise these impacts.
We will develop innovative solutions that boost profits, protect the environment, and contribute to society.
By setting this commitment, we contribute to SDG target 9.5 “Enhance scientific research, upgrade the technological capabilities of industrial sectors in all countries, in particular developing countries, including, by 2030, encouraging innovation and substantially increasing the number of research and development workers per 1 million people and public and private research and development spending.”
We are committed to innovation through our award-winning internal idea incubator, HH Labs. A pillar of our sustainability strategy, we believe that innovative marketing execution can help address global challenges, such as climate change. HH Global has won prestigious awards for innovation, such as the Sustainable Product Innovation edie Award in January 2018 for its Quality Printer Program (QPP). QPP delivers reputable colour quality while improving processes and reducing waste in the supply chain. The program has been available to global vendor partners developing the technological capabilities of printing across a range of countries.
We will report our performance towards these commitments annually.
