PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Bayer Global Point of Sale (‘POS’) Account Director (based in our office in Surrey, UK) is responsible for the development, nurturing and ultimate delivery of the Bayer account from a global perspective.  The role is essential in strengthening relationships with the client and identifying growth opportunities for the business by ensuring the client is aware of and understands the full range of services offered by HH Global.  The Account Director will take full responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the account, whilst managing key projects ensuring all work is completed in line with the SLA whilst developing a network of design and POS suppliers and managing their performance. Bayer is 20% of our current global business and currently employers 89 FTE globally. 

The Bayer Global POS Account Director takes responsibility for the co-ordination of creative and production services and ensuring that the quality of service meets the client’s expectations. A strong understanding of contracted terms and service levels is required, as well as taking ownership for overall financial performance of the work stream. The role requires extensive knowledge around  strategic sourcing for the POS category in countries like Germany, the US and Turkey where HH Global has strategic design and production partners as part of the low cost sourcing programme. The

Director for Bayer Global POS is required to work in close proximity to the creative team in London and will sit on the Bayer Steering Committee based in Leatherhead, UK. The Client Sponsor of Bayer is the EMEA CEO who is based within our Leatherhead, UK office. 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Delivery of HH Global’s global POS strategy for Bayer in terms of design, production and service
  • Report to the Steering Committee in Leatherhead on progress on a weekly basis
  • Manage the end to end workflow within the BTL Supply Chain for Bayer including creative services for POS design
  • Develop strong relationships with senior key stakeholders across the global Bayer organisation
  • Take responsibility both strategically and operationally for managing our POS supply chain based in UK and mainland Europe
  • Manage the end to end workflow within the BTL Supply Chain for Bayer including creative services for POS design
  • Ensure that the contract is managed in line with our contractual responsibilities
  • Manage overall financial performance of the account, risk analysis and remedy
  • Work with Commercial, Purchasing and Business Development teams to identify new business opportunities in POS and creative work streams
  • Provide regular MI reporting and production of account relationship plans
  • Ensure that activities comply with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Identify risks to the account and put in place strategies to manage them
  • Responsible for budgeting and financial reconciliation, variance reporting and P&L activities
  • Present at Board level to internal and external stakeholders
  • Operate effective two way communication with direct and indirect reports
  • Identify areas of resource risk and develop team structures to ensure balance and delivery
  • Manage account performance against target and assume responsibility for your team

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of POS and Creative (Marketing)
  • Strong background in procurement of marketing services
  • Highly skilled and presentable at dealing with senior stakeholders
  • High level of understanding of the print management and outsourcing of marketing services
  • Ability to manage people remotely over 20 countries
  • Ability to develop a global strategy and execute with support of the local teams
  • Very strong operational background and understanding of bottom line management
  • Demonstrable track record of successful client and contract management
  • Can anticipate internal and/or external issues which will impact own business units and teams and able to develop contingency plans to manage such issues
  • Fluent English language with a second language of the Bayer account ie German, French, Turkish

EXPERIENCE

The experience essential for this role is required to have been gained from a global perspective.

  • Extensive knowledge of print services in order to manage the extension of existing operating platform into Point of Sale
  • Extensive POS / Print Management experience
  • Strong experience of dealing with large P&L budgets and bottom line
  • Experience managing direct and indirect reports
  • Strong experience in Client Services and Account Management
  • Previous experience working in print/ print management/ print buying/ marketing print procurement essential
  • Proven track record of operational management for client services departments
  • Experience in regional/global procurement and marketing

                  Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 pa
