Production Manager, Retail Fixtures and Fittings

The Production Manager will be responsible to manage production of retail fixtures, vendor management and reports into the Account Director. They will need to coordinate with suppliers and internally to manage the development and manufacturing of retail fixtures/concepts to clients standards. The individual needs to be highly organized, an excellent communicator, planner and negotiator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with all suppliers
  • Liaise with different material suppliers for cross production checks
  • Production Coordination – Plan & track all supplier production and set priorities accordingly.
  • Project Documentation – Ensure accuracy of all technical documentations. i.e., design drawings, production drawings, bill of materials, meta data, etc.
  • Manage, review, comment to Client’s drawings for manufacturing and development
  • Quality Control – Work and Plan with Quality Managers on QC inspections on supplier’s site
  • Providing technical input and advice on projects as required to achieve high quality standards
  • Rejects poor quality or incorrect jobs and schedules them to be redone when necessary
  • Identify new Suppliers/Technologies – Actively search for new technologies and suppliers
  • Claims – Manage all claims of damaged or missing components
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and act as a key point of contact for internal teams and suppliers on project status and details
  • Works closely with the internal team members (designers, CAD engineers, other production mangers, quality inspectors, roll-out managers, assembly teams, logistic managers, installation teams and finance department)
  • Build team camaraderie and apply best practices in conjunction with wider HH operations group and encourage knowledge sharing
  • Track and analyze benchmarking information and communicate frequently with Supplier and Account Director/SAM
  • Ensures internal processes are adhered to

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experienced in retail store development and retail fixture development and engineering
  • Ability to think strategically and partner with Account team to deliver project objectives
  • Strong industry manufacturing knowledge
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Positively embraces change, accepts new approaches and maintains own effectiveness in situations of uncertainty
  • Delivers clear, concise and well-structured written and oral communication
  • Works collaboratively with others in pursuit of team goals
  • Shares information and ideas with others to achieve wider team or organizational objectives

  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Previous experience working in Retail Store Development, Retail Fixtures and Fittings and or experience of working on FF&E projects
  • Retail roll out experience, experience working with brands and or agencies
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and control is an advantage
  • 5+ years of Production and Project Management experience, PMP certification desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and build trust
  • Proficient with Solid works and CAD
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
