Management Accountant - Philippines

Reporting to the Management Accountant – South East Asia, you will be responsible for the Management Accounting of our Philippines entity. HH Global Philippines form components of our larger Group and as such working to ensure all financial transactions, analysis and reporting is performed within deadlines & to the standards required will lead to success in this role. Ad-hoc projects will arise within this role including (but not limited to) cash forecasting, data migration, systems implementations and budgeting & forecasting

This is an exciting role in the fastest growing company in our industry. Whilst the key responsibilities read similar to many Management Accountant roles, what we are really looking for is someone who can add value, partner the business through commercial insights and look to improve the efficiency of the Finance function in Philippines

Your focus on detail will ensure rework is not needed and our pursuit of excellence is achieved. This role requires autonomous work with sometimes little supervision. A curious mind will be important in the never ending task of problem solving

1. Preparation of monthly management accounts for HH Global Philippines within required timelines

  • Ensure reconciliations and analysis has been completed
  • Monthly gross profit calculations, including work in progress, cost of sales, accrual calculations and variance analysis
  • Working with both internal finance teams and internal account management teams to understand and resolve monthly variances
  • Monthly calculation and reporting of KPI’s and other reports with commentary

2. Responsibility for ensuring that all business finance procedures & processes are followed

  • Responsibility for accounting transactions
  • Compliance with local requirements, including regular communications with local advisors
  • Review and monitor credit control
  • Review and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform payroll transactions for staff members and ensure payroll issues and related returns processes are completed in a timely fashion
  • Cash flow reporting and management, including bank reconciliations
  • Review and formation of accounting procedures
  • Advising the business on processes affecting finance and assisting in monitoring and enforcing compliance

3. Providing advice and support for staff throughout the HH Group more broadly as and when required

4. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other statutory bodies to ensure compliance with matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirements

5. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for the business

6. Supervise an accountant in Philippines

7. Completion of ad hoc requests and working on ad hoc projects when required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any related fields
  • Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)
  • Sound communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Proficient in SAP Business One experience is a plus
  • Some years of accounting experience is required, either in a business or professional services setting
  • Real world experience in process documentation/mapping and in implementing process improvement
  • Sufficient knowledge of local tax legislation for compliance with tax returns filing and VAT and WHT handling
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively across different levels and cultures within organization
  • Strong planning & organizational skills, with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and a good team player
  • Positive, can-do attitude, and willingness to learn.
