HH Global Americas ‘Share the Joy’ this holiday season
As the 2020 December Holiday season approached, instead of the traditional gift-giving route, HH Global went non-traditional — digital to be exact.
As the 2020 December Holiday season approached, instead of the traditional gift-giving route, HH Global went non-traditional — digital to be exact. We created a fun, augmented reality gamification holiday campaign that allowed key partners to donate to one of seven different charities of their choice.
“We decided to go all digital, especially with the global pandemic and ISR restrictions around collecting our clients home addresses. We discussed this approach with our leadership team and everyone was excited to implement VR technology from the start.” said Simon Hobbs, VP of CDS and Digital Solutions. “Our creative team jumped in immediately to concept, design and help gamify the experience,” said Simon.
To play the game participants were sent an email containing a CTA (call to action). Scanning the CTA with their mobile device allowed the participant to register and drop holiday inspired 3D characters (vatoms) around their home in Augmented Reality. Once all the holiday characters were found and collected users selected from one of a number of pre-agreed charities and HH Global made a donation on their behalf.
In North America clients could choose from; Disabled American Veterans, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Feeding America and Smile Train. In South America clients could choose from; Ronald McDonald House, World Wildlife Fund and Verra.
Bryan Brunsell, Senior Creative Director at HH Global says this augmented reality campaign is just scratching the surface of our digital and creative offering. “We’ve always embraced new technologies and are willing to push boundaries. The global pandemic has accelerated the conversation for solving our client’s business challenges with virtual, mixed and immersive reality tech solutions. It’s fun and exciting for both HH Global and our partners.” Brunsell said.
