Sales Ledger Assistant

The Accounts Receivable Accountant will be responsible for interfacing directly with our customers throughout the world. This individual will email invoices to customers on a daily basis, review and process credit memos, and reconcile customer receivable balances. Candidate will review daily cash receipts and allocate payments against specific transactions within our consolidated group of Companies.

Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Accountant will be responsible for interfacing directly with our customers
throughout the world. This individual will email invoices to customers on a daily basis, review and
process credit memos, and reconcile customer receivable balances. Candidate will review daily cash
receipts and allocate payments against specific transactions within our consolidated group of
Companies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate customer invoices and submit to client/client portal.
  • Ensure correct coding of all customer invoices and payments updated in the System
  • Maintain and organize support for customer remittances
  • Respond to customer queries
  • Reconcile customer statements and correct discrepancies as necessary
  • Support financial statement audits
  • Assist in month-end financial statement close
  • Support other accounting projects, as necessary
  • Basic Knowledge about VAT, TDS and ST
  • To ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are adhered to. Person Specification

 

SPECIFICATION:

  • Book-keeping experience
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self-discipline
  • Good team working skills
  • The ability to work to monthly deadlines
  • An aptitude for IT – knowledge of software packages like Excel, Word, SAP
